I am a full time, professional teacher, printer, writer & photographer. I haven’t won any awards. I just love photography.
In addition to running my own extensive program of workshops I am proud to be a leader for Charlie Waites Light & Land photography tour company, as well as teaching printing and colour management for The Fotospeed Academy.
Once the image is made I believe it should be printed. And printed well. I do all of my own printing in my studio and I also print for Valda Bailey & Chris Friel, sending their (and my own) prints to collectors world-wide.
I have been widely published in many photography magazines and write regularly for Outdoor Photography and On Landscape. I give practical talks and workshops to camera clubs and organisations across the country and  have been interviewed several times on BBC Radio. I have exhibited at the National Theatre in London, The Joe Cornish Gallery in Northallerton and The Mall Galleries in London as well as having solo exhibitions at The Image Gallery, Calverton and The Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough.
I list Chris Tancock, Chris Friel, Valda Bailey, Saul Leiter and Michael Kenna as among my primary inspirations. I have a full list of photographers and artists I admire HERE.
I think sharpness is over-rated and I would like to be a much better photographer than I am.
I refuse to write in the third person.
